Joel "Fad'nez" Fadness
Joel Fadness played drums with Robert Mirabal 2001-2006, Realistic (electronica/Jazz) 2000-2003, the Platonics Trio, Cannonball, the Savoy Swingers, the San Francisco Mime Troupe 2001-2004, the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival 2003, and others in the Bay Area. In Portland Oregon he worked with Chata Addy (Afro-reggae highlife from Ghana), Groove Revelation (original Jazz Funk), the Portland State University percussion ensemble under Joel Bluestone, and others. He holds a B.S. in Science from PSU. In Santa Fe, New Mexico he toured with Jaka in 1998/99 and after returning from San Francisco in 2005 he started the progressive Jazz trio Jetpack Rental and played with guitarist Larry Mitchell, Latin Rock band Sol Fire, poet/saxophonist Joy Harjo, and others. He decided to go solo in 2002 and released his debut solo record Dynokaleido in 2006. He is based in Portland Oregon.
